About The Game

The Budgeting Game is organized by Beta Alpha Psi at NEIU to promote financial literacy and practical budgeting skills among NEIU students. Participants will demonstrate their ability to create and maintain a budget over a six-week period.

Eligibility

• Open to all NEIU students.

• Participation is free for BAP members.

• Non-members are required to pay a $10 entry fee (cash, payable to any of the chapter’s officers).
  
  

Briefing Session

• A mandatory briefing session will be held on October 2, at 3 pm in CBT 149 and on Zoom.

• The purpose of this session is to review the structure of the competition, explain the rules and evaluation criteria, and address any questions from participants.

Registration Details

• Free for BAP Members (guaranteed a spot).

• $10 for Non-members, limited to the first 10 participants on a first-come, first-served basis.

• Registration period ends on October 3 at 11:59 pm.

Competition Period

• The competition begins on October 6 and concludes on November 16.

• Participants are expected to actively track and manage their budgets for the full six weeks.
